Shillong, August 4, 2004: Training on Awareness Programme for “Rodent Control”, with special reference to Bamboo Flowering, was held on August 3, 2004, at the Conference Hall of the Directorate of Agriculture. The programme, attended by the Officers of the Department, was conducted by the Scientists of the Indian Council for Agricultural Research (ICAR).

Shillong, August 4, 2004: The Deputy Commissioner (Supply), East Khasi Hills District has warned consumers and public of the District that there are technicians who are not related to the Indian Oil Company visiting consumer premises with the purpose of repairing corporation equipments like gas cylinders, regulators and selling of rubber tubes. As the technicians may be fake, the public are hereby warned that they should not entertain such people as this might lead to major accidents.
